All Kelland homes are designed and constructed so as to ensure that the energy performance of the building is such as to limit the amount of energy and costs required to run the building. Having excellent insulation and windows throughout your home greatly reduces your household heating bills, whilst also benefitting the environment. Insulating your home sufficiently is one of the most effective methods of not only improving the energy efficiency of your house, but reducing your heating costs also. To achieve this Kelland Homes use the following construction methods;

Current Building Begulation require an external wall U-value of 1.2w/m2K, Kelland homes provide an external wall U-value of 0.15w/m2K using an Ecowall System. These Ecowall systems are designed to give U-value performances which are substantially better than Building Regulations requirements

All windows and doors are UPVC with double glazing and have an excellent U-value of 1.4w/m2k. Therefore giving Low maintenance and are gas filled for long life.
400mm thick fibreglass insulation achieving a U-value of 0.11m/m2K. Approximately 30% – 35% of domestic heat loss occurs in the roof so by insulating your attic in accordance with Part L of the Building Regulations, it is possible to achieve a 20% saving on your annual heating bill.

250 watt Solar panels to contribute to energy required to run your home. Solar PV improves your Building Energy Rating (BER) Solar PV improves your property and asset value.
